Meet The Artist

HELLO THERE

I am Kelly Brinkmann, the artist behind Art & Souls along with other local artists and community educators. I live and work in my studio just outside of St. Louis in Washington, Missouri with my husband and creative kids.

I AM AN ARTIST, INSTRUCTOR, AUTHOR & SPEAKER.

I love being creative, making new things, getting my hands messy and encouraging others to express their own creativity.

ARTWORK IS LIFEWORK

I have always had a studio workspace, including an area to invite others in to explore their own creativity. With a heart for teaching, some of my best moments in the studio are encouraging others to try something new or find unlikely solutions to obstacles.

I USE VISUAL LANGUAGE TO DESCRIBE OUR SHARED EXPERIENCES.

In spring 2023 I released my first book, Art for the Soul: Growing Your Faith Through Creativity, about pottery and art making, especially where it illustrates spiritual truths found in God’s Word. I am elbow-deep into continuing to grow in my own faith and making artwork provides tangible lessons experienced in my own faith journey.

WE ARE ALL GOD’S WORKMANSHIP

As a speaker, I travel (often with my pottery wheel) to share messages of hope and faith and forgiveness and freedom at conferences and gatherings. It is my joy to share the Creator with others and, using art, help them experience God’s amazing love for them.
