Celebrate the arts by entering the Fine Arts Exhib Celebrate the arts by entering the Fine Arts Exhibit at the @washmofair . Here’s how to get started: . PREP 👉Visit WashMoFair.com 👉Go to ‘Things To Do’ and click on ‘Exhibitor Building’, then roll over to ‘Home Ec / Fine Arts Entries’ 👉 Print the 2022 Class List 👉 Print the Printable Registration, one per applicant ages 5-adult 👉 Go to the WashMo Chamber office and pick up a few official pink exhibitor tags, 1 needed per item you enter . CREATE 👉 Gather projects you already have on hand (ie: pottery from art class) 👉 Find the category for that project (ie: N832 Pottery) 👉 Add the project to the Registration form 👉 Create a pink tag for the project and tie it to the work as a label. Note, flat drawings need to be matted, so grab a pack of pre-cut colored mats from an art supply store locally or online. Keep them to reuse each year. 👉 Repeat with additional projects, max 30 per person . ENTER 👉 See the Pre-Fair Dates to Remember (yellow box) on page 68 of the Class List 👉 Declare entries by July 15 👉 Bring entries to the fair on August 1 or 2 . 🎥 View the video to learn the complete process. Clay Camp this week was 🤩🤩🤩 and 👏👏👏! We love to help kids take an original idea from their head, create it on paper, add dimensions and make a plan to translate it to a 3D form. . This amazing dog came to life this way this week. Somewhere in the middle of the making, experimentation led to creative solutions to build confidence and pride giving her this smile. That’s the best #artcamp experience ever! . . Thanks so much to the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and caregivers who gave the kids this experience this week! Clay Camp focused on making pottery using molds to Clay Camp focused on making pottery using molds today. . We started by rolling out a slab of clay on the slab roller, then setting the clay on a form, pressing it into place and adding texture before finishing with colored slip. . Clay Camp today included a project with the manual Clay Camp today included a project with the manual clay extruder. Students learned about levers while helping to stuff the tube of the device full of clay. Then, they pulled the lever down to pump out a hollow tube of clay.
