“Ever since I saw the movie Castaway, I’ve had a thing for wings. Wings on wires, wings on sculptures and wings in paintings. I sketch them searching for the best shape of wings. As I played with wings in clay, I smiled when the wings were paired with a heart to hang in my studio. It reminds me to love with a full heart,” shares Kelly Brinkmann, handmade artist.
